Description
The set of 8 markers features a vibrant array of colors: White, Sunshine Yellow, Apricot, Light Pink, Lavender, Light Blue, Aqua Green, and Coral Pink. These highly pigmented markers are filled with water-based paint that is non-toxic, lightfast, and waterproof. Their opaque paints, free from alcohol and solvents, can be blended while wet, allowing for easy color mixing with either a brush or the marker tip. You can also dilute the water-soluble paint with water to achieve a gradient effect. With a fast-drying formula, these markers enable layering of dark colors over light ones or bright colors over dark shades.
Each Posca marker includes a ball in the barrel that ensures even mixing when shaken. The valve mechanism provides a secure seal to prevent the paint from drying out, and the tips can be rinsed underwater after use. The paint is permanent on porous surfaces but erasable on most smooth non-porous materials, and your creations can be preserved with a fixative varnish. Posca Paint Markers can be applied to various surfaces such as wood, fabric, glass, ceramic, plastic, metal, stone, paper, cardboard, and canvas.
Preparing the POSCA Marker:
To get started, shake the marker vigorously up and down with the cap on. You'll hear the ball inside click, indicating that the paint is mixing. Press the tip on a scrap piece of paper multiple times until it is filled with paint, then test the flow. If the line is clear, your marker is ready for use. Keep a cloth handy to clean the tip or soak up any excess paint.
Re-Priming:
If the paint starts to flow less freely while you're using it, simply replace the cap and shake the marker again.
Storage Conditions:
POSCA markers can be stored in any position as long as the cap is securely placed back on after use. For optimal care, it’s best to keep them horizontal whenever possible.
